On-call relief workers may work when there is a heavy staff load (emergency weather, etc.) or short staff load (regular staff is on vacation, sick, jury duty, etc.). Hours are not guaranteed; but if we know your availability, we’ll put you on our “call first” list.

On-Call Relief Counselor – All Programs

Position Summary:  Provide supportive crisis counseling and milieu management to men, women, and veterans who are homeless.  Responsible for maintaining the safety and comfort of residents in emergency and transitional shelter facilities and work on-call to fill shifts as requested by other program staff members and the Program Coordinator.

On-Call Relief Hygiene Attendant

Position Summary:  Responsible for greeting clients who come to use the bathroom and laundry facilities; monitor the clients and ensure they have the supplies they need for personal hygiene; clean facility in accordance with Health Department and agency standards.

On-Call Relief Building Specialist – Renton Veteran’s Center

Position Summary:  Maintain a presence in the reception & lobby areas, observe, record & respond as needed to the comings & goings of guests, staff, & residents.  Maintain a safe & comfortable environment for 58 veteran households & respond to tenant issues as appropriate.
