Because housing is a human right: Rallying for change in Olympia

Property Development Director Beth Boram and Compass Board
Members Lisa Gustaveson and John Gienapp

On Feb. 17, hundreds of advocates delivered their message to the state Legislature: Create more housing and support services for men, women and children who are in need.
The annual Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day is an opportunity for constituents to speak directly with their elected representatives in the offices of the Legislature. This year, advocates pressed for $100 million in funding for the Housing Trust Fund and for bills that would bolster tenant rights and eviction prevention.
Compass staff and supporters are always well-represented at advocacy day, and this year was no exception. Our thanks to all who joined us to rally support for these critical issues.
