HomeStep Self-Managed Housing Program
The HomeStep Self-Managed Housing Program (SMHP) provides transitional housing for homeless individuals for up to two years. SMHP has 6 shared-homes with 33 units available for homeless adults. One home is set aside specially for homeless young adults ages 18-24. Through self-management, residents contribute to the overall management of their housing. By participating in house meetings, and daily house upkeep, residents develop life skills such as negotiation and leadership, decision-making, group problem solving and conflict resolution.
