Seattle isn’t dying.
Compass Housing Alliance doesn’t believe in criminalizing people who are living in poverty, experiencing homelessness, or struggling with addiction. We meet them with empathy.
Let’s join together to create a new Seattle. One that celebrates the growth of our city while acknowledging and serving those that have fallen behind. We can lift them up together and help them get back on their feet to build their futures.
We’re Seattle. We’re not dying. We aren’t going anywhere. We’re still here and we’ve got work to do.
When others suggest we should give up on serving the neediest members of our community, we disagree.
We’ve been here for 99 years. We don’t give up on our neighbors.
On May 8, 2019, 501Commons will host GiveBIG, the largest giving day of the year for our region. Housing affordability and homelessness remain a crisis in our city, but there is also a lot for us to celebrate.
Compass Housing Alliance has a 98% housing retention rate. That means the people housed at Compass stay housed. We are ending the cycle of homelessness for individuals and families
We offer life skills classes in our all our programs—because once you have a home, you still need to know how to manage a budget, cook for yourself, and do all the things other adults do. Our life skills classes are changing lives and offering opportunities
to people who didn’t have them before.
Compass is leading the charge to end Veteran homelessness, touching the lives of 1 in 3 homeless Veterans through trauma-informed support services.
Our newest housing program, Compass Broadview, opened this month and brought 59 new permanent affordable units to our city for families, individuals, and people with different abilities.
Your gifts make these successes possible. Your gifts mean opportunity, stability, growth, community, and realized potential.
