Dear Friend,
I am writing to you at an important time, a moment when we must lean into the deepest values that we hold. You are among a group of loyal supporters of Compass Housing Alliance, so I know you understand what it means to live out those values.
Around the country, and certainly here in the Puget Sound, I am seeing a renewed awareness of coming alongside individuals facing challenges to their stability, well-being, and future.
A new word has emerged from this experience: “neighboring.”

Neighboring is discovering the power that exists when a community enters into a relationship with those whose lives are most vulnerable. It is also a verb, describing a commitment to act together, because only our collective efforts can truly support those who count on us.
For more than a century, Compass Housing Alliance has lived out the joyful work of neighboring, caring for those seeking a roof over their heads, a warm meal, and a compassionate community where they are secure.
Now is a critical time for us to express our commitment to neighboring through your financial support of Compass Housing Alliance. Your generosity sustains this work across 20 locations in King County and upholds Compass’s deeply held value: everyone deserves a home.
In the months ahead, Compass Housing Alliance will be expanding its reach in our region, including launching new efforts to support individuals on the cusp of homelessness. Moreover, through its partnership with Lutheran Community Services Northwest, Compass is poised to provide increased services to individuals facing housing insecurity in our region.
This is neighboring. This is how we uphold our values, even when the fabric of our society feels so strained. This is how we strengthen our community together.
I invite you to join me in this act of neighboring by making a gift to Compass Housing Alliance. Thank you for your generosity and care at such an important time.
Sincerely,

Kirby Unti
